Mobilizing Family Health Centers – McKesson Foundation Grant Finalist

CITPH is a finalist for The McKesson Foundation’s Mobilizing for Health^sm Grant Program. The study, Mobilizing Family Health Centers of San Diego for Health, will deploy an interactive mobile health information service, in order to demonstrate among a largely Hispanic population with type 2 diabetes the intervention’s effectiveness in improving HbA1c levels, reducing “no show rates” for scheduled physician appointments, and realizing higher levels of satisfaction with care and treatment. This study partners include the Public Health Institute (PHI), a national research and training organization, with the Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD), one of the largest community-based clinics in the U.S., and Voxiva, a global leader in interactive mobile health information services.
